The thermarium comes with a 6 kW sauna heater, corner lights, comfortable loungers, hourglass, thermometer and a complete infusion packet comprising a bucket, scoop, two sauna towels and infusion concentrates. The sauna module is constructed from high-quality, Scandinavian spruce.

A pair of support rails can withstand up to 150 kg. The weight should be spread over the shelves as evenly as possible.

Because we prefabricate and adapt the profiles, it is not possible – once the configuration you order has been confirmed – to modify the doors or reposition them afterwards.

The sealant can also be applied retrospectively under the floor frame profile. You merely have to note the following points.

  • Firstly, ceiling supports have to be put underneath all the roof girders, to prevent sagging and maintain appropriate tension.

  • Then a jack is used to lift the floor frame profile, one side at a time, and the sealant is applied in the intended position.

  • Please ensure that the drain holes are kept clear.

These are untreated, 3-layer panels.

We recommend leaving a clearance of at least 70 cm on all sides. Please also note the roof overhang of 15 cm on all sides.

Side installation is also feasible for an additional charge.

CasaNova insulation values
Side wall panel 0,76 W/m²K
Glass element 3,00 W/m²K
Tilt and turn window 7,00 W/m²K
Acrylic 5,20 W/m²K
Double acrylic 3,90 W/m²K
Roof with 3cm XPS on top 0,80 W/m²K

In addition to this, you can also insulate the roof and under the flooring with 2-3 cm XPS foam boards. Get the XPS boards from your local builders' merchants.

The roof supports differ purely in terms of appearance. The grey-white (interior colour of the wall components) roof supports make the interior cosier and more homely.

An appropriate power cable should be considered when laying the foundation. If this is not done and a line has to be retrofitted, either the floor frame or a wall panel will have to be drilled in order to bring the cable into the shed or outbuilding. Please note that this will invalidate the guarantee.

You can filter for show models near you in our dealer search.

Given the size of the outbuilding, please check local building regulations prior to purchase. Planning permission or a building permit is required in some areas. Returns due to planning permission or a building permit not being granted will not be accepted by Biohort. In the next step, we recommend that you construct an entirely level concrete slab for your CasaNova Outbuilding. We have provided the necessary sketches for you in the download area.

No, the CasaNova is available only in the nine sizes offered.

The sauna module measures 2 x 2 metres and is therefore not suitable for outbuildings measuring 3 x 2 and 4 x 2 metres. The sauna module can also be retrofitted. Electricity: 230 V and 400 V. The cable conduit should already be taken into consideration when designing the foundation. A professional concrete foundation incl. vapour barrier will prevent any moisture from entering the building. The floor must be level, horizontal and easy to clean. The wiring diagram, operating instructions, installation instructions and dimensions can be found in our download area.

Please comply with the guarantee terms and conditions as well as the requirements of the sauna manufacturer.

Regular ventilation and fully opening the doors/windows after a sauna will prevent condensation and excessive humidity (> 80% r.h.) Regular ventilation is required to prevent excessively high temperatures (> +40°C) inside the CasaNova. A frost-proof environment (not below 0°C) should be guaranteed by indirect heating during the winter months. You may even consider (electric and timed) underfloor heating.

The roof of the CasaNova outbuilding must be weighted down immediately after installation, to extend the service life of the EPDM membrane. This weighting down ensures that the EPDM membrane does not crease when exposed to sunlight, and thus prevents potential tearing and general water drainage problems.

The roof can be weighed down by greening, round gravel or terrace tiles on gravel. More information can be found here!

Disposal of the packaging is not included in the price. The customer is responsible for disposing of the packaging.

The cut-outs are 68 mm in diameter. Only use spotlights that are suitable for outdoor use!

Basically, we endeavour to deliver the CasaNova within 6 weeks from receipt of order. The delivery time may increase due to seasonal supply bottlenecks. Please refer to our website for current delivery times.

For direct delivery ("free kerbside"), we must have a e-mail address & phone and/or mobile number we can use to contact you during the day. The shipping company will arrange the delivery time with you.

The outbuilding is packed in particularly robust crates to protect it from damage during transport. The product is always delivered in one upright crate (for doors and panels) and two horizontal crates (blank and coated profiles). The wooden panels for the roof are also delivered on a disposable pallet. If a sectional overhead garage door is selected as an option, then this will also be delivered on an additional pallet. The accessories (e.g. floor frame, floor panel, window, BikeMax, etc.) do not increase the number of pallets. These are packed together in the crates and only increase the weight of the transport unit in question.

Customers can basically choose either a right or left door hinge as well as the position of the doors in the CasaNova. One door always replaces an entire side wall panel of the outbuilding. Both the standard door and the additional door can be installed in all four sides. A double-hinge door can also be positioned on any of the four sides (except in the 3 x 2, 4 x 2 models). However, please note that additional special parts are required for installation on sides measuring 4, 5 and 6 m due to static reasons. A small surcharge will therefore be payable. Our product configurator allows customers to easily test out various door positions.

No, free kerbside delivery is available in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, France and Luxembourg. We can deliver to the dealer warehouse in all other European countries. For deliveries in Switzerland, please contact our general importer, Neogard.

In principle, roof-top greenery is feasible because of the UV and root-resistant EPDM membrane. The distances between the EPDM membrane and the clamping profile (upper edge of the parapet) are listed below depending on the size of the outbuilding:

  • 3 x 2, 4 x 2: Back approx. 90 mm, Front approx. 76 mm
  • 3 x 3: Back approx. 90 mm, Front approx. 68 mm
  • 3 x 4, 4 x 4: Back approx. 90 mm, Front approx. 60 mm
  • 3 x 5, 4 x 5: Back approx. 90 mm, Front approx. 52 mm
  • 3 x 6, 4 x 6: Back approx. 90 mm, Front approx. 44 mm

Please consult a specialist about your individual roof-top greenery design in advance. The maximum roof load per m² is 215 kg.

More information is available here.

This will depend on a number of factors:

  • Skill of persons assembling the outbuilding
  • Weather conditions (never assemble in windy conditions)
  • Available space
  • Accessories ordered
  • Type of foundation selected

The following timings are based on customer feedback (this does not include the assembly of accessories):

At least two people are required to assemble the CasaNova.

Switches and sockets can be easily fitted using the electrical mounting panel, which is available as an accessory. The electrical mounting panel can also be ordered with a grey-white coating to match the interior panelling. The power supply should be taken into consideration when establishing the foundation.

Local building regulations can differ considerably from region to region. These often vary depending on the planned area. Please check with your local authority if a building permit or planning permission is required before purchasing the outbuilding.

We will provide a building plan with detailed dimensions and static calculations based on CasaNova EN standards that apply across the European Union. You can download the static calculations from our website.
A plan of the standard building (with one door leaf) is provided in the assembly manual. You can request a detailed plan from us, if required. This will be customised for you (according to size, door/window positions, etc.).

The roof of the CasaNova is designed to withstand a max. load of 215 kg/m². Please take the additional weight of roof-top greenery into account. Roof avalanches can cause damage to the roof.

The 360° acrylic glass skylight provides sufficient light from all sides in the CasaNova. The acrylic glass can be opened on two sides for ventilation.
ATTENTION: This sliding function is not included in the double version of the acrylic glass skylight, which is available as an option.

With CasaNova outbuildings, we recommend regular intermittent ventilation to control the moisture content.

The folding table is hooked into two support rails which, in turn, are attached to the side roof supports. The distance between the two roof supports is 100 cm. However, the distance from a corner upright to a roof support is only 93 cm. As only two corner uprights and one roof support are installed on each side in the 3 x 2 / 4 x 2 models, it is unfortunately not possible to fit a folding table here. Please note that a corner folding table cannot be installed in any of the other models either.

The drive can only be installed for the 3 x 4 and larger models due to the length of the running rails for the electric motor.

Please note that an additional door must always be fitted to outbuildings with an electric drive to allow access to the CasaNova in the event of power outage.

The BikeMax is mounted on the head and floor profile (between the support rails).

In each case there would be a space of approx. 1 m between each bike. In theory, more than one BikeMax can also be mounted between two roof supports, as the height of the BikeMax can be adjusted in 11 different positions.

The door opening angle on a double door is 120° as standard. This can vary up to a max. of 135° because of the three-hole positioning of the gas spring.

We recommend that the boxes are carried by at least two people, depending on the size and weight of the boxes.
Please note that the delivery driver is not obliged to carry the goods to your desired storage location or assembly site.

Our products are intended for self-assembly and are packed and delivered in individual parts. Depending on the products, the parts are packed in one or more sturdy corrugated cardboard boxes that are clearly labelled on the outside. Additional protection in the form of wooden slats, polystyrene and plastic fleece material is provided for sensitive parts. Orders containing more than nine boxes are partly shipped with additional packaging in the form of wooden crates. The customer is responsible for disposing of all of the packaging material.

Depending on size, the boxes are fitted with handles or recessed grips. We recommend that at least two persons carry the boxes due to their size and weight.

One single box can weigh up to 73 kg depending on the product.

If you do not unpack your Biohort product immediately, please ensure that the packages are stored in a dry place. Should the boxes get wet or damp, we can accept no liability for any subsequent damage to the goods.

The boxes should be stored horizontally on a continuous, supporting surface.

A pair of scissors and a pre-marked cut line appear on the boxes, indicating where the box can be opened with a utility knife. Please lift the individual components from the packaging with care (do not drag them!).

The posts can either be set directly in the concrete foundation or anchored to the individual foundation bases. Please note the respective foundation sizes. No fixing material is supplied.

The foundation base must have the following dimensions depending on the post height:

H A B T
90 cm 50 cm 50 cm 80 cm
135 cm 50 cm 50 cm 100 cm
180 cm 50 cm 50 cm 115 cm

The posts must be set in concrete to a depth of 28 cm.

As soon as the configuration has been completed, the exact dimensions are entered in the configurator. The foundation can also be installed according to these dimensions (centre - centre post).

No, at least one side of the foundation must be level with the surrounding terrain.

A maximum inclination of 4.3° is permissible.

It is secured to the ground/lawn with ground anchors or to concrete with dowels and screws.

The SmartBase foundation can compensate for height differences of up to 4 cm.

The SmartBasePlus foundation can compensate for height differences of up to 15 cm. Extensions are available on request for greater height differences. Please write to our customer service team at customerservice.gb@biohort.com

The SmartBase or SmartBasePLUS is a complete solution comprising adjustable feet or ground screws, a special frame and aluminium floor boards. The optional aluminium floor frame is no longer required in this instance and does not need to be fitted. The optional aluminium floor panels are also replaced by the aluminium floor boards.

No additional vapour barrier is required with the SmartBasePLUS. The aluminium floor boards used with the SmartBasePLUS foundation are connected with a click-in system (tongue and groove).

The SmartBase Foundation is the ideal foundation for uneven concrete or paved areas. It consists of high-quality aluminium floor boards, a special foundation frame and height-adjustable feet.

Original soil is required for the SmartBasePLUS. It is also important to ensure that the soil is free from large stones, pipes and coarse roots. Test holes should preferably be drilled in advance (e.g. using an iron rod at least 60 cm long).

The aluminium boards of the SmartBase foundations can withstand loads of up to 200 kg/m².

The installation of a vapour barrier (= a water-impermeable plastic film with a minimum thickness of 150 µ) is highly recommended, as it protects against rising ground moisture. It is important to ensure that the membrane is not larger than the storage shed surface area. Please refer to our foundation tips for further details. .

If you have not yet considered incorporating a vapour barrier in the foundation, it can also be retrofitted inside the shed using the aluminium floor frame: Spread out the vapour barrier and pull it slightly up the side on the aluminium floor frame. Then lay the XPS hard foam panels on top followed by the aluminium floor panels (or another suitable floor). Finally, trim the protruding membrane to lie flush with the upper edge of the aluminium floor frame.

A drill bit (dm 40 x 600 mm) and an impact power drill are required to install the SmartBasePLUS foundation. The drill bit can be ordered as an accessory directly from Biohort.

The recommended foundation dimensions can be found in the technical data for the respective product. If you are erecting a new concrete or point foundation, please refer to our concrete foundation plans and point foundation plans.

Only a concrete or point foundation is recommended for securing the side canopy supports.

Please refer to our foundation tips for the concrete foundation plans and point foundation plans.

No, no floor frame is required for the WoodStock. A tube-shaped basic structure is already incorporated in the WoodStock design.

A foundation must be erected for the Storage Sheds, Equipment Locker and the MiniGarage. Please refer to our foundation tips.

A level, solid hard surface is required for the WoodStock, StoreMax and HighBoard products as well as for the Romeo Patio Locker. These products must be anchored to this hard surface with the screws and dowels supplied.

The outdoor boxes (LeisureTime Box, LoungeBox and StyleBox) must also be installed on a level, solid surface. These products do not need to be secured to the ground.

The Raised Vegetable Bed, Belvedere Planting Bed, DaVinci and MonAmi Composter can be installed on all level surfaces.

The various foundation options are described in detail in our foundation tips.

Biohort products must be installed on an absolutely level surface. There must be no incline. Various suitable foundation options are available. Click here for our foundation design tips.

The fastening material (screws and dowels or also anchors with the aluminium floor frame) is supplied. Biohort cannot accept any liability for damage caused by insufficiently secured products.

A floor frame is required in the following situations: Point foundation, inadequate* concrete slab, paved or concrete foundation without step.

The floor frame provides a continuous bearing surface for the floor profile (joints, coarse subsoil) and makes it easier to incorporate the sealing joint.

*inadequate: minimally uneven, coarse subsoil

Click here for more foundation tips: Foundation tips.

These products are supplied with a galvanised, coated metal base and an even, level, solid surface is required for installation. Asphalt driveways, concrete slabs in a gravel base as well as a frost-proof concrete foundations are suitable for this purpose. The boxes must be anchored to the hard surface with the fixing material supplied (screws and dowels) to ensure storm-proof installation. The surface area must be at least of the dimensions specified.

No specific specialist skills are required for assembly. A detailed assembly manual is supplied with our products. You can download the assembly manual in advance from our website.

Specific socket and open-ended spanners are supplied. The following additional tools and aids are required or could be useful:

  • A sharp knife for opening the box
  • Flat-bladed and Phillips head screwdrivers
  • Combination wrench, 13 mm opening
  • Percussion drill with Ø 10 mm masonry drill (for fastening anchors)
  • Retractable tape measure
  • Stepladder
  • Spirit level
  • Cordless screwdriver (useful)
  • Folding trestles x 2 (useful)
  • Socket set (useful)

To avoid scratches, please also ensure that a suitable support surface is used for assembly.

As the Garden sheds and the equipment locker should be sealed on the surface that meets the foundation, we recommend a suitable sealant. This silicone-like compound should be acid-free and suitable for outdoor use.

This depends on a few factors:

  • The skill of the "assemblers" and how many there are of them
  • The weather conditions (never build in windy weather!)
  • The space situation (at least 70 cm of space all-around)

Because we have years of experience, however, we can give guideline values. Please note that these estimates relate purely to the time taken for the work. Please read the assembly manual beforehand, including all notices.

At least two people are needed to assemble the Biohort products.

The detailed product assembly manual is supplied. This can also be downloaded from our website.

Check the delivered goods for completeness (size, colour, number) and possible damage. Ensure that you have enough space (at least 70 cm around the foundation) and helpers to assist with the assembly. You are advised to read the assembly manual in advance.

Biohort has certified independent Assembly Partners. You can find the Assembly Partner covering your area and the guide prices here. You can contact them directly or (for Austria and Germany) book the assembly appointment in our online shop. The assembly terms and conditions for any assembly appointment booked in our online shop can be found here.

An even, level hard surface is essential for successful assembly. Leave a space of at least 70 cm all around the assembly area. Please open the boxes as noted on the boxes themselves. Should any parts be damaged, do not fit them, but inform customer services immediately, enclosing photos.

Please place the individual parts on suitable surfaces/supports to avoid scratches. Wear gloves during assembly - some parts may have sharp edges.

Sealants are available from various manufacturers. It is important to ensure that they are suitable for outdoor use and do not attack the metal parts (acid-free). Appropriate products are available from builders' merchants. The sealant can be used to seal the foundation depending on the hard surface. Please refer to our foundation tips.

The sealant is used to seal the bearing surface of the floor profile (or floor frame) and foundation to prevent rainwater seeping into the garden shed. See our foundation tips for more detailed information.

The foundation must be absolutely level for the successful assembly of our products.

With the Biohort SmartBasePLUS foundation for slopes and lawns, it is possible to compensate for a slope of 15 cm. Extension sets for the ground screws can also be provided on request, to achieve compensation of max. 55 cm overall.

Please note that with this foundation, only one side of the shed can be raised. The foundation screws are not suitable for raising the entire shed.

On a firm surface, the SmartBase can compensate for a slope of up to 4 cm.

See our Foundation Tips for more detailed information.

We recommend assembly with glued-in threaded rod anchors.

  • Stainless steel threaded rod anchors (threaded rods) M12 x 160 mm, A4 material with suitable nuts and washers,
  • injection mortar

You are welcome to buy threaded rod anchors, injection mortar, an appropriate applicator gun, an M14 hammer drill bit attachment and an inflation pump with cleaning brush, as accessories from the online shop.

Please note the manufacturer's specifications regarding correct working and drill hole preparation.

The Belvedere planting bed and the Raised Vegetable Bed are supplied without ground anchoring. Only if an optional privacy screen or trellis is ordered, 4 fixing brackets are included in the scope of delivery.

We recommend weighting down with terrace tiles (30 x 30 x 2 / 3 / 4 cm) after installation in order to extend the service life of the EPDM membrane. The space between the terrace tiles, roof struts and roof flashing should be filled with washed, round gravel (16/32 grain size).

No off-cuts should be used with terrace tiles 30 x 30 cm:

Safety advice for each product can be found on the opening pages of the assembly manual.

Basically:
Keep all small parts or packaging materials supplied away from small children during assembly. Some components have sharp edges or protrude. This should be borne in mind when assembling the product and during daily use. Gloves are included and can be used if necessary.

Note that relatively high temperatures may develop in the garden shed (heat generation similar to that in a car). Find out the storage conditions for the products stored in the garden shed from the respective manufacturers.

BikeLift:
The aluminium rail must be examined before use to check that it is dry.
Other people should also be prevented from standing in the danger area when you are using it. Children may only use the BikeLift under adult supervision.

As the Raised Vegetable Bed, the flexible DaVinci Planter Box System and the Belvedere Planting Bed were developed purely as planters; they do not meet the standards and guidelines for guardrails or railings.

Biohort products are Faraday cages, meaning that lightning protection is not required. The Faraday cage is an enclosure comprising an electrical conductor (e.g. wire mesh or sheet metal) that is closed on all sides and acts as an electrical shield. In the event of external static or quasi-static electrical fields, the inner section remains unaffected because of the shield effect.

For precise safety instructions (regarding the use of the shed during thunderstorms), please consult a qualified electrician.

The roof of the garden sheds is designed to withstand a max. snow load of 150 kg/m² (CasaNova 215 kg/m²). However, roof avalanches can cause damage to the roof.

Our correctly assembled and properly anchored garden sheds are successfully tested in a wind tunnel at wind speeds of up to 150 km/h.

Please make sure that they are properly anchored to the ground. Biohort cannot accept any liability for damage caused by insufficiently secured products, or lids/doors that are not locked.

The Biohort storage solutions are all lockable and are therefore classed as "lockable containers" for insurance purposes. The Panorama, HighLine, AvantGarde and Neo Storage Sheds as well as the CasaNova Outbuilding are the most secure against burglary.

What is classed as burglary?
A burglary is theft accompanied by break-in. This occurs when the perpetrator gains access to insured premises by using force, tools, unlawfully produced keys or keys previously taken from another insured premises by burglary or robbery in order to steal insured items. A burglary also occurs if the perpetrator enters or creeps into insured premises by overcoming difficult obstacles or gains entry through openings not intended for access. Finally, entry into locked containers and the theft of items contained therein also constitutes burglary.

Biohort products need very little care due to the high-quality materials used and careful workmanship. Simply lubricate the lock and hinges every year and regularly clean the StoreMax sliding rails or treat them with silicone spray. In the event of soiling due to weather and environmental conditions, clean using just water and the Biohort CleanLine Universal Cleaner. A high-pressure cleaner can also be used (maintain a distance of at least 10 cm between the lance and the lacquer. Do not use a steam cleaner. Max. pressure approximately 80 bar). To preserve the lacquer surface, we recommend Biohort CleanLine Preservation, which provides the lacquer surface with optimum protection against weather and environmental conditions.

The gutter should be cleaned several times a year, to ensure optimum drainage. If the gutter is blocked, it may overflow. No liability can be accepted for any resultant damage.

IMPORTANT: Sea air/ambient air containing salt water and/or salt, aggressive and abrasive cleaning agents, road salt, fertilisers, fresh concrete, screed materials and other chemical substances (never store this type of product in the open) can attack the lacquer and zinc surface, thereby leading to corrosion. Warranty claims are no longer valid in such cases.

The glass elements should be cleaned with a soft sponge and a mild cleaner. Then rinse thoroughly with clear water. After cleaning, the glass elements can be dried with a soft, lint-free cloth to avoid stains.

ATTENTION: When using cleaners, always test in a concealed area prior to use.

The film should not be exposed to sunlight for too long as this can cause the protective film to become polymerised due to UV rays. If this happens, adhesive residues may remain on the acrylic glass.

The BikeLift is basically maintenance-free. But should a dirty wheel be placed in the device, stones or other dirt could detach and fall into the BikeLift's working space. This dirt must be removed at regular intervals, as it would stop the BikeLift from engaging properly.

We recommend that you clean the affected areas with a limescale remover. Make sure that it is compatible with metal and paint. Ask your local building materials or garden centre for advice. Alternatively, you can also use a mild car shampoo, as this generally achieves very good cleaning results. However, do not use any aggressive, abrasive cleaning agents or vinegar cleaners, as these could damage the coating.

The Alex dustbin box can be extended as required. Please note that when combining several dustbin boxes, an absolutely level foundation is required to ensure that the doors function properly.

The bar can withstand a maximum load of 75 kg.

The distance from the roof membrane to the upper edge of the roof flashing is 20 mm at the front and 50 mm at the rear.

The capacity is 13 litres.

On all magnetic elements inside the garden shed (e.g. on the roof beams).

The LED light is attached using a magnetic strip.

The screw size for this is minimally variable. The size of the sheet metal screws should range from 3.2 to 3.9 mm. The holes for inserting cables are 22 mm in diameter.

Garden sheds max. 6 pcs.
MiniGarage max. 6 pcs.
HighBoard 200 max. 4 pcs.

Commercially available surface-mounted sockets/switches are used.

Shelves are available as an optional accessory. If you require support rails for retrofitting, please write to us at customerservice.gb@biohort.com.

The Romeo Patio Locker has not been designed to accommodate dustbins. However, the interior dimensions of size L can accommodate two 240 l dustbins. However, please note that the dustbin lid cannot be fully opened.

The diameter of the holes for inserting cables is 22 mm.
Sheet metal screws with a diameter of 3.2 mm are required to fasten the surface-mounted sockets and surface-mounted light switches.

The standard door can be fitted on all sides of the HS model. However, with the H1, installation is only possible on the long side, as no half front wall elements are supplied.

The back wall/side wall can also be retrofitted to existing HighLine side canopies.

With simultaneous use of the rainwater downpipe, the downpipe can only be installed opposite the back wall. In this instance, please note the correct alignment of the slope of the rain gutter. Alternatively, a 5/4 inch garden hose can be connected to the gutter outlet.

Yes, the back wall can also be attached at the front of the side canopy. No door can be installed in the privacy screen panels.

The Charly Robotic Lawn Mower Garage has a folding lid which provides access to the control panel. The Charly Robotic Lawn Mower Garage requires a minimum clearance of 32 cm at the rear in order for the lid to be opened.

The narrow double door can only be fitted to the front of the AvantGarde sizes A1-A4. It is therefore not compatible for sizes A5-A8 and cannot be used with other storage solutions.

The narrow double door can only be installed at the front for sizes A1-A4. An additional narrow double door cannot be ordered.

The narrow double door (only for AvantGarde size A1-A4) has a door opening of 139 x 182 cm (W x H). Each of the respective narrow front wall elements is 9.6 cm wide.

No, the side canopy must always be attached to the garden shed. Installation in a free-standing position is not possible.

The Raised Vegetable Bed is available in nine sizes. Depending on the size, accessories include the snail guard, the cold frame extension and the intermediate floor. The Belvedere Planting Bed, on the other hand, is available in three sizes and seven different lengths. The intermediate floor is included in the standard equipment supplied for the Planting Bed.

Yes, the bicycle rails of the MiniGarage are suitable for e-bikes.

During the winter, it can generally be assumed that the temperature inside the product will equate to the outside temperature as there is no insulation.

Biohort products can heat up on exposure to prolonged sunlight in the same way as cars. Regular ventilation is required in this respect in order to regulate the temperature.

Biohort products do not emit any sounds on exposure to cold and heat as the steel plate has a very low material expansion coefficient (considerably lower than aluminium, plastic or concrete, etc.).

Only products with a door handle (Neo/HighLine/AvantGarde/Panorama) can be incorporated into a keyed alike system or replaced with a new cylinder lock. The cylinder for the mortise lock is 54 mm long with a central division (27 mm each).

The rodent protection is made of a glass fibre mat with fine mesh. It is used to keep rodents such as mice and rats at bay. A stainless steel grid with fine mesh can also be used.

The storage boxes are not delivered with castors. Two rubberised, rigid castors (optional accessory) can be attached to the StyleBox.

However, if you would like to fit castors to the other boxes, furniture castors can be attached to a base plate and the box fitted on top. Please note that most of our products must be secured to a base or subsurface. Biohort cannot accept liability for any damage caused by insufficiently secured products.

The pair of shelves fitted in the FloraBoard can withstand up to 1000 kg, i.e. max. four full flower boxes (inc. soil/plants) per pair of support rails.

An insect screen can be fitted by the user. It should be ensured that any adhesive used can be removed without leaving any residue and the material is not adversely impacted.

The tool hangers have a max. load-bearing capacity of 10 kg.

The shelves have a max. load-bearing capacity of 15 kg and the support rails 100 kg.

Yes, the parcel box kit can be mounted on all sizes of the LeisureTime Box.

All accessories fitted inside the garden sheds or boxes can easily be retrofitted.

Biohort products are subject to the DIN 4102 standard and are classified according to building material rating A1 under products without combustible components.

The roof panels are included in standard packages which are the same for all colours. No other colours are possible for production reasons.

Yes, the snail guard and the cold frame extension can be mounted together.

The cold frame extension can remain in situ during the winter. Please note the maximum weight-bearing capacity of 25 kg per top panel.

Biohort products can withstand the following surface loads when applied evenly:

Highline, Panorama, AvantGarde, Neo and Europa Garden Sheds, MiniGarage, Woodstock and Equipment Locker: 150 kg/m²

The external, internal and foundation dimensions can be found either in the last few pages of the Biohort brochure (technical details) or online. To view this data, click on the desired product on the Biohort website and then go to technical details. You can also download the respective submission plan and foundation plan.

ATTENTION: The exterior dimensions always include the roof overhang and the height shown is the highest point of the product.

You can choose on which side you want the side canopy to be fitted (either on the left or right side of the garden shed). Two side canopies are also possible - left and right.

No rainwater downpipe is provided or required for the Equipment Locker and MiniGarage. The inner roof supports contain a polystyrene insert that curves upwards such that the roof is slightly curved. This allows the water to run off evenly on all sides.

The intermediate floor must be water-permeable to prevent waterlogging. The intermediate floor is used to reduce the amount of filling material required.

The intermediate floor is inserted on the second corrugation. The intermediate floor cannot be used at a lower level.

Biohort uses only the best material for all its products. Biohort products are made from high-quality, galvanised, polyamide enamel coated steel from Austria and Germany. Premium car manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW or Audi have relied on the high quality of these renowned steel producers for years. This is the reason why we can offer our customers a 20-year guarantee against corrosion with a clear conscience. Individual components are made from aluminium.

Biohort products are rainwater-proof.

Passive ventilation is provided for in our Biohort products, except for the CasaNova Outbuilding. In this case, the acrylic glass panel can be opened on two sides for ventilation purposes. ATTENTION: This sliding function is not included in the double version of the acrylic glass skylight, which is available as an option.

During assembly, make sure that a vapour barrier is installed to prevent rising soil moisture (see foundation design). In the case of high humidity and large temperature fluctuations, condensation can nevertheless form on the inside of the roof overnight. This is due to physical reasons, but can be avoided by insulating the inside of the roof with polystyrene panels/XPS hard foam panels (thickness: 2 cm for Europa and AvantGarde; 3 cm for HighLine, Panorama, Equipment Locker and MiniGarage). These panels are available from all builders' merchants. Garden sheds in the AvantGarde, Panorama and HighLine series are designed for interior roof insulation as are the Equipment Locker and the MiniGarage. We are pleased to provide fixing material for the Europa model. Please write to us at customerservice.gb@biohort.com.

As with other outdoor items (garden furniture, window ledges, etc.), there is also a certain amount of noise in garden sheds when it rains. How aware you are of this is heavily dependent on personal perception, however, and can vary.

You can insulate our garden sheds to deaden the noise. Garden sheds in the AvantGarde, Panorama and HighLine series are designed for interior roof insulation. Fixing material can be supplied for garden sheds in the Europa series. Please complete the spare part request form here on our website. Our customer service will then contact you and prepare a quote, as necessary.

Our tip: You are welcome to visit the showrooms of our retail partners and get an idea of what our products look like.

LeisureTime Box/Parcel Box/LoungeBox:
4–6 plastic feet are mounted depending on the size of the storage box. These are not height-adjustable.

StyleBox:
The adjustable feet are height-adjustable from 1 to 3 cm.

HighBoard:
The height of both feet can be adjusted up to 2 cm on the front left and right. As the floor panel should rest entirely on the hard surface, feet height can be adjusted only for precise alignment.

StoreMax:
No adjustable feet are fitted. In the StoreMax, the floor panel rests entirely on the hard surface. A completely level surface is therefore required.

Romeo Patio Locker:
The feet can be adjusted by up to 2.5 cm on the inside.

Please note that Biohort storage boxes such as the LeisureTime Box, Parcel Box, Romeo Patio Locker, StoreMax, HighBoard, StyleBox and LoungeBox offer secure storage against driving rain. However, there are ventilation slits for air circulation. Seat covers/cushions/blankets absorb any humidity and should therefore not be stored in the outdoor boxes in winter due to the risk of mould stains.

Biohort products are not suitable for sitting. They should only be used to store/stow away garden or leisure items.

LeisureTime Box/Parcel Box/LoungeBox/StyleBox:
The floor of these outdoor boxes can withstand an even load of 20 kg. We recommend placing an XPS hard foam panel with a thickness of 2 cm underneath the box in order to store heavier objects (inside the adjustable feet).

HighBoard/StoreMax/Patio Locker:
These storage boxes are delivered with a base plate underlay. A full surface load of up to 200 kg/m² can therefore be applied.

Biohort products provide protection against driving rain and are therefore ideal to store/stow away garden and leisure items.

The products can be installed on a roof terrace if building regulations are met.

IMPORTANT:Ensure that products are anchored securely in case of stormy weather (fixing material supplied). Biohort cannot accept any liability for damage caused by insufficiently secured products.

The Garden Sheds and Equipment Locker are designed to be free-standing (secured to a hard surface). We can provide the appropriate wall mounting parts for the Equipment Locker and the Europa Garden Shed on request (already supplied with Europa size 2A and 4A). We recommend additional fastening to the floor despite attachment to the wall.

The Romeo Patio Locker has perforated holes at the rear - hence it can be fastened to a wall as well as the floor.

There is no wall fastening for the HighLine, AvantGarde and Panorama Garden Sheds.

Please note that we accept no liability for inadequate fastening.

Appropriate cable conduits (electricity, water, etc.) are required in order to use the StoreMax/HighBoard to house pumps (e.g. for swimming pools). These are NOT supplied. Please also note that the pump circuit must be sealed. Any seeping chlorine-water mixture or salt water can lead to corrosion. Please bear in mind that warranty claims are not valid in such cases.

The roller shutters of the StoreMax dustbin/bicycle box comprise two parts. The slats can either be replaced individually or only in their entirety (lid and/or front wall) - this will depend on the year of manufacture of the StoreMax model in question. Contact customerservice.gb@biohort.com for a quote.

The WoodStock firewood storage system has a self-supporting aluminium tube-shaped design. Fixing material for a solid surface is supplied. The WoodStock can also be installed in a free-standing position.

IMPORTANT: Ensure storm-proof anchorage. Biohort cannot accept any liability for damage caused by insufficiently secured products.

The optionally available back wall or double door accessories can also be retrofitted. The relevant assembly manuals are included in the delivery.

The WoodStock is designed as a firewood storage solution and accessories such as shelves, tool holders and rainwater downpipes, etc. are not available. Reason: The WoodStock consists of a 4 x 4 cm tube-shaped frame as opposed to top and bottom profiles, which are needed for mounting accessories.

No rainwater downpipe set is available for the WoodStock and no downpipe is compatible. However, a standard 1" hose can be connected to drain water.

Biohort products are not designed to house animals.

Biohort products are designed as storage solutions. Insulating panels can be fitted to the inside of the roof of the Garden Sheds/Equipment Locker/MiniGarage, if required. The AvantGarde, Panorama and HighLine Garden Sheds are designed for roof insulation, as are the Equipment Locker and MiniGarage. Fixing material for roof insulation can be supplied with garden sheds in the Europa series. Please write to us at customerservice.gb@biohort.com.
The Romeo Patio Locker is fitted with a reinforced roof plate, which is mounted without a roof support. Roof insulation is not feasible in this situation.

The height of the door threshold is normally approx. 30 mm. When using an optional aluminium floor frame (cross-section: 40 x 40 mm), the height of the door threshold is approx. 70 mm.

The roof overhang on the garden sheds cannot be altered because of the design.

A 100% level foundation is required in order to ensure optimal door adjustment. The side walls of the shed must be aligned so that they are not warped and the door cannot get stuck.

Lift/lower the door:
The hinges on the door frame are screwed into holes with a little play. This allows the hinges to be moved up/down and adjusted as required. In order to do this, the hinge retaining screws must be loosened once again and the hinge parts moved accordingly. This allows the door panel to be adjusted.

Move the door to the left/right:
To do this, please loosen the screw connections on the front (bottom and top profile), adjust the doors correctly (to the left or right) and retighten the screw connections. The door gap should be approximately 4-6 mm wide.

The optional aluminium floor frame can also be retrofitted with a little extra time and effort.

An optional additional door can be retrofitted. However, please note that this will involve additional time and effort. Therefore, plan the number of garden shed entrances or chosen door installations in advance.

The hinge for the Europa Garden Shed, Equipment Locker and WoodStock can be chosen during assembly. A left-sided hinge can be ordered for the standard door on request and at additional cost for the AvantGarde, Panorama and Highline Garden Sheds (stainless steel door handle).
The door opening cannot be changed on the Neo Garden Shed, the MiniGarage and the Romeo Patio Locker.

With the optional BikeMax bicycle holder, one to two bicycles with a 24" rim diameter or maximum length of 175 cm can be stored in the Equipment Locker. One BikeMax can be mounted on each side wall (sizes 150, 190 and 230). Only one BikeMax can be used with Equipment Locker 90 (however, the remaining usable space for storing other items is relatively small).

The BikeHolder bicycle stand is not recommended for the equipment locker, as it can only be used with size 230 and possibly with size 190 and 150 (depending on the bicycle length: max. 170 cm with size 190 / max. 130 cm with size 150). However, with both equipment lockers there would then hardly be any remaining floor space.

The BikeMax bike holder can be installed in the Biohort Garden Sheds/Equipment Locker (plug-in system). Both bicycles with narrow tyres and mountain bikes can be stored safely thanks to the V-shaped groove in the fastening profile. The bicycle is suspended from the front rim. The wheel's centre of gravity is thus far enough away from the suspension point to allow the bike to centre itself and not fall over. The lateral distance between the bicycle holder and the wall should range from 30 to 40 cm (depending on the width of the handlebars).

If several bicycles holders are installed next to each other, a distance of approximately 55 to 60 cm is appropriate. A different distance can, of course, be selected. If the bicycles are hung at different heights, the distance between the bicycle holders can be reduced to 30 to 40 cm, thus saving space. In order to do this, mount the suspension bracket alternately on the upper and lower group of holes on the guide rail.

The mounting dimensions supplied are approximate values. The local conditions and bicycle sizes must be taken into account during installation. If the distance between the bicycle holders is too small, it will not be as easy to suspend and remove the bicycles as it would be with a larger distance.

Please note that if the optional threshold access ramp is installed at a later date, the door threshold that has already been installed must be removed. The installation of a threshold access ramp is only possible with double doors and when using the aluminium floor frame. Maximum load-bearing capacity: 200 kg; length: 135 cm. The assembly manual for the threshold access ramp can be found here.

The optional aluminium floor frame (= 40 x 40 mm tube-shaped aluminium frame) is an ideal addition, regardless of the type of foundation chosen. The floor frame is required with a gravel base, concrete slabs/paving as well as with a point or strip foundation. The floor frame is not mandatory with a smooth, level concrete foundation (without step). It is, however, recommended as it facilitates sealing or application of the sealing joint.

EXCEPTIONS: The aluminium floor frame cannot be used in conjunction with the SmartBase foundations and with the concrete foundation with lateral graduation (stepped border or water barrier). See the foundation tips for further information.

The optional aluminium floor panel (= 2 mm chequer plate) can only be used in conjunction with the optional aluminium floor frame. Please note that the aluminium floor panel must be fully lined with a 2-3 cm thick XPS hard foam panel. The hard foam panels are not supplied but are available from builders' merchants.

Rainwater downpipes are supplied depending on the product selected. One set of rainwater downpipes (= two individual downpipes) is included in the standard equipment supplied for the Neo garden shed. No more than one set of rainwater downpipes (= two individual downpipes) can be fitted with the AvantGarde and HighLine Garden Sheds. In the case of the Europa and Panorama Garden Sheds, water can be drained on all four corners (thus two rainwater downpipe sets each could be used for the Europa and Panorama Garden Sheds). For the side canopies (available for Europa and HighLine), one separate downpipe (= one individual downpipe) is included in the side canopy scope of delivery. This amounts to a total of three downpipes for the garden shed including the side canopy.

A 1 or 1.1/4" commercially available water hose can be fitted instead of the downpipe.

Optional rainwater downpipes are made of galvanised steel plate in the colour to match the garden shed. The individual rainwater downpipes are 40 mm in diameter (cross-section). The pipes are designed to fit into a 50 mm drainage pipe (Polo-kal pipe or PVC pipe).

The Privacy Screen can also be mounted at one end on a building wall. This can be selected using the configurator.

The entire post permits a height compensation of 20-25 cm.

The following options are available for rail alignment:

The principle prerequisite for storm-proofing is a proper foundation and professional installation of the base variant with glued-in threaded rod anchors as specified by Biohort.
If this requirement is met, the Privacy Screen is designed for wind force 11.

No, only one acrylic glass panel can be installed per wall. If the Privacy Screen comprises several walls, can the acrylic glass inserts be mounted next to each other?

You can choose your own panel design. The Privacy Screen panel elements are always paired.
Arrows on the panels show the direction for insertion.

The glass panel can only be retrofitted if the garden shed is dismantled. As this is a time-consuming exercise, we do not recommend retrofitting.

The intermediate floor is included among the items supplied for DaVinci. The planter insert is available as an optional accessory.

Yes, retrofitting is possible here. The Privacy Screen and Trellis can be ordered directly from our online shop, or from one of our retail partners.

There is a risk of tipping over in storms and strong winds, so professional anchoring is necessary. To allow anchoring, mounting brackets are supplied with the connecting or end uprights.

No, these two items are not compatible with the DaVinci.

Yes you can. Please complete the spare part request form on our website. Our customer service will contact you as soon as possible and prepare a quote, as necessary.

No support rails are required to assemble the shelves in the Neo garden shed. The shelves are attached to the side wall suspension devices. This is also possible if interior panelling and insulation are used.

The insulation and the gap between the electric assembly panel and the side wall are both 40 mm wide. To use the electric assembly panel, there must either be no insulation here, or the cable runs must be cut out.

With the Neo garden shed, you can decide during assembly whether to attach the outlets for roof drainage on both sides at the front or back. The structure is then modified accordingly, so that there is a slope towards the outlets. The supplied rainwater downpipes are then fitted at these outlets.

The hose connection option is not available with this garden shed. If you want to direct the water further away, you could attach a Polo-kal pipe (PVC pipe, 5 cm in diameter) to the end of the outlet elbow.

The dimensions of the rainwater downpipe outlet elbow are 4.4 x 4.4 cm.

Please prepare the power supply when creating the foundation. Alternatively, a cable can be run through the corner joint of the floor frame and moved to the desired position between the panel and the top profile.

The side canopy can only be attached to the side with the integrated gutter. This means that no more than one side canopy can be fitted on the left and on the right.
It is not technically possible to install a side canopy from other shed sizes, so you must always order the size of side canopy that corresponds to the garden shed.

Since 2022, a narrow side canopy for each size of garden shed has also been available to all those who prefer a smaller version of the extension:

S: 414 cm
L: 548 cm

The BikeLift can be used for various wheel types, including e-bikes. But please note the following dimensions:

Max. tyre width: 77 mm
Max. front tyre diameter: 74 cm (29")
Max. weight: 30 kg

The end of the back mudguard or luggage carrier should not protrude beyond the tyre:

The BikeLift can be mounted on a covered building wall (brickwork, concrete, wood) in just a few easy steps, or installed with a suspension rail in a Biohort garden shed. Enough space must be allowed when using the swivel mount.

Let us know which variant you require when you order!

*Europa garden shed:
Please make sure that you fit the BikeLift at the highest point in the Europa garden shed (centrally on the back wall). If you want to attach several BikeLifts, please note that the size and length of the bicycles must not exceed the lowest interior clearance height, less 15 cm (for safety).

A padlock (with a combination lock) is among the items supplied. The holes for attaching it are already pre-drilled. For safety reasons, this must be attached if the BikeLift is not being used.

If there is no bicycle hooked into the BikeLift, it must be locked at the bottom with the padlock. This stops the carriage suddenly moving upwards if unintentionally activated. Attention: Risk of injury!

Basically yes, but please ensure that the rear tyre of each bicycle is always on the ground.

Our 20-year guarantee offers protection against corrosion of metal parts and for defective or unusable parts. The following are not covered by the guarantee: transport damage (the shipping company is liable for this damage), damage due to faulty foundations and/or aggressive environmental conditions (due to chlorine, salt, acid, etc.,) and indirect or consequential damage. Only the statutory 24-month warranty period applies for wear, moving parts, colour changes, and electrical, plastic and rubber parts. Details of our guarantee conditions can be found here.

Please contact the relevant authority for more information. The garden shed assembly manual also includes a "submission plan" for official purposes. You can of course download our standard submission plan from our website.

An additional door (single door) can, in principle, be installed with the Neo, HighLine, AvantGarde and Panorama models. However, the installation options depend on the size of the shed.

The extra-wide door is available only for the Europa garden shed (except for shed sizes 1 and 2). An extra-wide door (171 x 171 cm) can be ordered instead of/in addition to the standard double door (135 x 171 cm). This extra-wide door can only be installed off-centre due to the modular design.

The installation of a second double door is, in principle, possible with almost all types of shed (except AvantGarde), but depends on the shed size. You are welcome to explore the possible installation situations online in the configurator.

If you have any further questions, please fill in the contact form on our website. Our customer service will then contact you.

Due to the statics, we recommend a maximum of 2 doors on different sides. With the AvantGarde shed, only one double door is possible at the front.

The various door installation options depend on the shed series, shed size and door versions (standard/double door/extra-wide door). You can explore the possible installation options for your shed in the configurator. You can find additional information on door installation in the download area. Due to the statics, we recommend a maximum of 2 doors on different sides per shed.

Specific dimensions in terms of garden shed width, depth and height are not possible because of serial production.

The window unit can also be retrofitted. This window unit corresponds to the size of a side wall element. Please note that more work will then be required on assembly.

A side canopy is available for the HighLine garden shed (from size H2), the Europa garden shed (excluding sizes 1 and 2A) and for the Neo garden shed (from size 2A). It can also be retrofitted.

On the Highline, Neo and Europa shed, the side roof can only be fitted on the side with the rain gutter. A rainwater downpipe is included for the side roof.

Electrical installations (such as lighting and power supply, etc.) are generally permitted. Please note that such installations should only be carried out by a licensed specialist. An appropriate power cable should be considered when laying the foundation.

If this is not done and a cable has to be retrofitted, the cable can be laid into the shed through the front, semi-circular corner cladding (Panorama, AvantGarde and Highline Garden Sheds).

Retrofitting is not possible with the Neo and Europa Garden Sheds or the CasaNova Outbuilding. Please ensure that you plan for a power supply when laying the foundation. If this is not done and a line has to be retrofitted, either the floor frame or a wall panel will have to be drilled in order to bring the cable into the shed or outbuilding. Please note that this will invalidate the guarantee.

With the MiniGarage, the power cable can be pulled through one of the rear corner claddings as there is a small perforation in each corner (bottom). The HighBoard 200 has perforations in the floor and within the back wall. These can be pressed-in to insert the cables. We offer an electric mounting panel for the straightforward installation of switches, sockets and the like in the Garden Sheds, Equipment Locker, MiniGarage and the HighBoard 200.

Biohort does not recommend roof-top greenery due to the maximum permissible roof load and the necessary roof drainage, which cannot be guaranteed with roof-top greenery.

This does not apply to the Casanova outbuilding. Roof-top greenery is possible with this model. More information can be found here.

The StyleBox can be ordered with two rigid, rubberised castors (optional accessory). This is not possible for the LeisureTime box and LoungeBox.

The Equipment Locker (from size 150) and the Europa garden shed are available only with a double door.

No, a floor panel is essential to ensure stability.

Biohort products are available in the colours specified. Special paint finishes are not available due to serial production.

Please note that independent recolouring/repainting the products will invalidate the manufacturer's warranty.

Yes the aluminium floor panels can be easily retrofitted. However, the aluminium floor frame is essential. We recommend underlying the aluminium floor panels with XPS hard foam panels 2-3 cm thick.

On the models Highline, Neo and CasaNova the modules and collectors can be installed whereas the system placed on the shed and no modification of the Biohort product takes place.

It needs to be taken in account that the maximum surface load of the roofs of the garden shed should not exceed the 150 kg/m² (CasaNova 215 kg/m²).
Biohort does not offer solar panels / -modules / -collector’s packages or installation.
The costumer is responsible for the installation and the anchoring of the system.

Should it happen, that structural modifications will be applied to the garden sheds or Biohort products in general (e.g., drilling in the roof panels) then the right of guarantee will be lost and outcomes such as rust, water damage or any of such and the side effects of these causes are not part of the guarantee nor warranty.

Biohort products are made from high-quality steel plate and aluminium, and are therefore 99% recyclable.

Replacement keys for the stainless steel door handle with standard cylinder lock (CasaNova, Neo, Panorama, HighLine, AvantGarde from the 2016 model onwards) can be ordered from a locksmith on presentation of the original key. Please therefore keep one of the three keys supplied in a safe place. If a key is no longer held in stock, the integrated cylinder must be drilled.

Keys for the T-handle cylinder lock or T-bar cylinder lock (Europa Garden Shed, Equipment Locker, Romeo Patio Locker, MiniGarage, WoodStock, StoreMax, HighBoard, LoungeBox, LeisureTime Box, Alex) can be reordered through the company Carney in Germany. The lock number (engraved on the lock) must be stated.
